Back
in 1947, Laurel and Hardy came to Kent and visited the Romney Hythe
& Dymchurch Railway. The railway is still running today. I have
organised several ‘Laurel & Hardy’ themed days on the line over the
years. So, if you are looking for a place to visit this summer, then I
highly recommend visiting this 14 miles long miniature railway. When
you visit, look out for the loco ‘Dr Syn’, as it is the SAME loco that
pulled ‘the Boys’ train all those years ago and is still running today.
If you want something to eat, then I recommend you visit the restaurant
at the end of the line in Dungeness. You can even go up the lighthouse
for some spectacular views. Go here for all the information to plan a
great day out: https://www.rhdr.org.uk/
